The Philadelphia franchise is one of the most closely followed in the NBA. Founded in 1939, it was then known as the Syracuse Nationals.
If we look at their record alone, the glory days seem long gone, with 3 NBA championship titles in 1955, 1967 and 1983.
And yet, it was thanks to this franchise that grocer Jean-Charles saw some of the most memorable games he's ever seen in the NBA. And it's thanks to a certain Allen Iverson, a true genius of the orange ball, voted MVP and the league's top scorer for 4 years... and we could go on for a long time.
Of course, Iverson wasn't the only good player to have worn the 76ers jersey or cap, and we can mention, in no particular order: Moses Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, Charles Barkley and Julius Erving.
Lately, the team hasn't been outdone, and its ranks include, among others: Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris. All the ingredients for a rosy future!
