The Pacers arrived in the NBA in 1976, but it wasn't until 1987 that the franchise really began to make a name for itself. That was the year a certain Regie Miller was drafted 11th overall.
That night, as he put the Indiana Pacers cap on his head, the franchise was able to dream of a better future.
And that's exactly what happened: under the Miller era, the team shattered the glass ceiling that had kept it out of the PlayOffs for too long. The Hall of Famer, who would remain loyal to the franchise for 20 years, took them all the way to the conference finals.
