Founded in 1970 and then domiciled in Buffalo, New York, after a difficult start, the franchise changed its name and moved to the San Diego Clippers in 1978.
It remained there until 1984, when it moved to the City of Angels, Los Angeles.
Although some big names have worn the Clippers jersey and cap, they will never be more than division champions.
Among these big names are Moses Malone, Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan.
Since Steve Ballmer bought the franchise, things have begun to change, and the Clippers have become serious contenders, especially since the arrival of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
